The TORIDOLL Group stipulates "promises to related parties" in the TORIDOLL Code of Conduct. For the TORIDOLL Group to continue its growth, we believe it is vital we communicate with various stakeholders, understand what their expectations are, and accurately reflect these expectations in our business activities.
In order for shareholders and investors to gain a better understanding of its business activities, the TORIDOLL Group holds general shareholder meetings, financial results briefings, investor relations meetings, and issues shareholder reports and other communications. We will incorporate the opinions and results of dialogues with our shareholders and investors into our management so that we can receive continual support from our stakeholders and increase our corporate value.
In fiscal year 2020, we held our annual general shareholders meeting and biannual financial results briefing for institutional investors.
The TORIDOLL Group’s business is sustained by a large number of business partners, including the producers of our ingredients, and logistics companies. For this reason, we place great importance on our communications with them.
Once a year, our President and CEO and other executives engage with our business partners.
TORIDOLL Holdings holds monthly labor-management councils with labor unions, which represent employees. In addition, we provide an opportunity once a year for the labor union to report the views of employees compiled by the union to senior management and receive recommendations from the union.
In fiscal year 2020, at the suggestion of employees, we held discussions with executives on the (i) introduction of a special leave system based on years of service, as well as the (ii) consideration and implementation of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In October 2018, the TORIDOLL Group held a business course at CJCC at the University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia to learn about store management in the food business. We will continue to aim to develop human resources who will lead the global food business, such as students who dream of owning their own restaurant in the future.
In February 2020, Toridoll Holdings held a contest with students from Nakamura's seminar at Komazawa University to develop a program that provides social value. Sixteen students were divided into four groups and proposed business proposals based on Toridoll Group's business operations and from the perspective of "CSV activities unique to Toridoll Group," with themes of insect food, support for people with disabilities, food waste, and food education.
The judges, including President and CEO Awata and other executive officers, made a comprehensive assessment of the four aspects of "planning ability (originality)," "profitability (branding)," "feasibility," and "presentation ability" to determine the winning group.
The winning group's project will be examined for feasibility based on budget and schedule, and if it is deemed feasible, it will be carried out.
The TORIDOLL Group distributes a Code of Conduct book containing the TORIDOLL Code of Conduct to all new employees. Based on the TORIDOLL Code of Conduct, which is based on promises made to stakeholders, we have set forth the action guidelines necessary for employees working at our company.
The Toridoll Group believes that it is necessary to increase empathy by continuing to come into contact with information on a daily basis in order to permeate sustainability within the company.
Therefore, we operate the official LINE "TORIDOLL FRIENDS" for all employees who work, to introduce good practices of products and services at stores, as well as information on various themes such as DE & I, the environment, and social contributions. I'm here.
